A-POP DJ from the NYC Metro Area
DJできません (DJ Dekimasen) is an A-POP DJ from the New York Metropolitan Area who plays anime song anthems, video game music, J-POP and more. His typical style revolves around 原曲, or mixing songs in its original form, and is proud to share the music in its truest form above all else.
What makes Dekimasen?

できません (“Dekimasen”) means “Can’t do .” In reality, the proper grammer, if saying this alone, is DJできない (“Dekinai,”) but let’s explain why Dekimasen was chosen instead.
Have you ever tried to book a Japanese concert ticket through a lottery system and unsuccessfully obtained a ticket? The message is familiar to those who have failed before: チケットをご用意することができませんでした。 (“The ticket application could not be done.”) This was a common joke among his friends and that was the name given to him when he did not have a DJ name until he performed on the AXDance stage at Anime Expo 2018. Ever since then, he has unconditionally accepted the name lol

A-POP is Akiba-Pop - This is music that you can often hear and experience in Akihabara, an area of Tokyo, Japan known for electronics, comics, games, idols and many hobbies. The music can be from Japanese anime, video game music, J-POP, idol music, pop culture and some more.

原曲 means original song. That means the music is neither remixed, covered or altered in any manner.
Mixing the original songs is an art in of itself. Sometimes, the listener cannot distinguish that the song has changed due to the audio illusion. Often times, just hearing the original songs transitioning into another one is pleasant.
As this DJ believes, not everything needs to be remixed in order to be a part of a DJ set!

DJできません has curated a lot of A-POP over the years and is still expanding his collection and he wishes to share it with the masses. He has performed sets that bring a new take on the stories each song tells. He has also brought out memories of familiar songs and raised interest in new titles through songs that haven’t been heard before. It’s an experience with its own level of hype.

As a DJ, I feel I have the ability to read the crowd and mix in music that I feel they will enjoy. I also have the freedom to share my own personal taste in music with the crowd. While I typically prefer to mix original songs, I will occasionally mix in mashups, remixes, or other creative variations. The result is always a surprise, and I hope that my sets will leave the crowd dancing and singing along.
